For years my dad battled epilepsy alone! One day we discovered Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario which would open our lives to a community of people like us. When we first went to a meeting, I did not have epilepsy yet but I am glad we connected with them.

Virtual Support Groups
I have been attending this support group since July 2022. I have virtually met people who share their epilepsy story and I get to share mine. We discuss different topics every week like:
How long have you had epilepsy?
What signs or symptoms did you notice before you were diagnosed?
Are there things that you didn’t recognize at the time but now wonder if they were seizure-related?
We ask questions and get referred to a network of help.
